With a bit of help from Splendvd you will be able to create custom DVDs. You can use your own video footage, you can add custom background images, you can add a soundtrack that you like. And when you’re all done setting up the DVD just the way you like it, you can go ahead and burn it. Put it in your DVD player, get all the family around the TV, and enjoy the DVD you created.

Splendvd is available for multiple platforms: Windows and Mac OS X. Focusing on Microsoft’s operating system, it must be said that support is provided for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8. Switching focus onto Apple’s operating system, it must be said that Splendvd supports 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion.

The video footage you want to use in your DVD project is displayed in the panel to the left on the interface. Select a video file, click the play button, and it will be displayed in the middle panel. Last but not least, the panel to the right allows you to customize the DVD menu. When you’re done customizing things, click the Preview button from the bottom right hand corner. And when you’re done, hit the large Burn button, also from the bottom right hand corner.

Splendvd grants access to numerous customization options: trim videos, arrange videos in the order you want, pick a custom background (choose an existing sample or use a local file), add the music you want, enter a custom menu title, adjust the title’s formatting, select the style of the buttons, add a custom frame. Use all these customization options to come up with something you can be proud of.

With the functionality Splendvd puts at your disposal, you can easily create custom DVDs.

Pros

Use Splendvd on a Windows or a Mac OS X-powered machine. The Splendvd interface has an easy to use layout. Support for multiple video formats is provided. Multiple customization options are put at your disposal. Preview and burn DVDs.
